Privacy notice

This website belongs to Cameron Dempster (C@M). This notice explains, in plain English, what happens to your information when you use it.

The contact form

If you send an enquiry, the form collects:

• your name and email address;
• what the enquiry is about, and an event date if you give one;
• your message.

Your enquiry is sent to Cameron by email and stored in the website’s hosting account at Netlify. Before it reaches Cameron, it’s checked for spam by Netlify’s spam filter, which uses Akismet.

Your details are only used to reply to your enquiry and to follow up on any work that comes from it. They’re never sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list. Enquiries are deleted when they’re no longer needed.

Music and video players

Players from Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok only load when you press play. Until then, nothing is sent to those services. Once you press play, that service’s own privacy policy applies, and it may set cookies.

Links to other sites (for example Spotify or Instagram) take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Cookies and your device

This website doesn’t set any cookies. If you switch the motion effects off, that choice is saved in your browser so it’s remembered next time. It never leaves your device.

The site’s hosting provider, Netlify, keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run the site and keep it secure.

Your data and your rights

You can ask to see the details held about you, to have them corrected, or to have them deleted. Email cameron@thedempsters.online and your request will be handled within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
